Career Connection Online

"Career Connection  Online" is a program of our Quinnipiac Business and Education Foundation (QBEF) and is partially underwritten by the Ulbrich Stainless Steels and Walmart. Thank you to AT&T for underwriting a grant for the initial phase of the Career Connection Online in 2005.

Part of  QBEF’s mission is to prepare our future employees to best fulfill the needs of our business community.  A major component of that is to offer our students an ongoing connection with businesses in our area.   Whether it’s in-class lecturing, mentoring, long-term classroom involvement or actual on-site tours and/or experiences, you, the business person can interact with our students to let them know about your area(s) of expertise and what is needed of them as future employees.   Teachers, in turn, can log on to find businesses willing to offer input, expertise and opportunities in any particular field.  You can opt to offer as much or as little time as you can handle.  It’s important that we all share the essence of our businesses with the students in our schools.  The connection between what they are learning and how it applies to the outside world is often not understood.  Additionally, many students are not aware of what is expected of them -and what to expect - when they venture out into the world of work.
